Under the motto: let's bring back another holy grail, the first rumors are circulating about a possible comeback of the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High. In 2017, Nike, in collaboration with Virgil Abloh, founder of Off-White, released 'The Ten,' a pack comprising ten Nike classics each given an Off-White makeover.
One was the Air Jordan 1 High, which is set to return in 2025.
Off-White x Nike
The collaboration between Nike and Off-White may have been one of the most groundbreaking in the history of sneakers. With 'The Ten,' Abloh bridged the gap between high-end fashion and sneakers and did so successfully. Sneakers like the Nike Air Presto, Blazer Mid, VaporMax, and Zoom Fly each received the Off-White treatment, with the classic Off-White tag and all.
The collab was so successful that the two soon came up with multiple collaborations. Still, for many sneaker fans, the pack “The Ten” remains the duo's best work. Good news for them: the Air Jordan 1 High appears to be returning with the signature Off-White details.
This is an all-white colorway that takes inspiration from Abloh's first sample. It is not yet known exactly what the sneaker will look like, but expect familiar details like the iconic zipper, the written detail 'AIR', and deconstructed elements.
The sneaker is expected in 2025 and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Jordan Brand, which was founded in 1985. So far, no images of the sneaker have been released, only images of the sample and a Sneakerjagers mock-up.
