Nike is bringing back a very special release in 2024. After the successful comeback of collaborations such as the HUF x Nike, and the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 expected in 2025, it seems that now the iconic 1999 collaboration with hiphop formation Wu-Tang Clan is also getting a rerelease.

Wu-Tang Clan

It may be one of the most iconic collaborations of all time: Wu-Tang Clan and Nike. Exactly 25 years ago, the hip-hop group, known for songs like "C.R.E.A.M.," "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing ta F' Wit" and "Bring Da Ruckus," released a Nike Dunk High in the classic "Goldenrod" colorway. The release came with the well-known Wu-Tang Clan logo on the tongue.

The sneaker was very exclusive. Only 100 copies were released, half of which went to the Wu-Tang Clan and the other half stayed with Nike. In 2020, rapper Travis Scott revealed that he was one of the lucky ones to own this exclusive sneaker, which only made the sneaker more popular.

Now, especially for the 25th anniversary of the collaboration, Wu-Tang Clan and Nike are bringing the release back - this time hopefully with a wider release. On June 30, 2024, Nike Sportswear's official Instagram account, in collaboration with Wu-Tang Clan's account, posted a short clip of the Wu-Tang Dunk covered by a swarm of bees with the caption "BZZZZZZ."

Although the post had no further context, it is abundantly clear that the duo will be making a comeback. We can most likely expect the Wu-Tang Clan x Nike Dunk High in 2024. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for updates surrounding the release.
