Nike releases two new colorways of the Air Max 95 as part of the 'Anatomy of Air' pack. The two-pack includes the Air Max 95 'Flesh' and the 'Light Bone'- flesh and skeleton inspired sneaker. The two designs will drop June 23, 2022.
Behind the story: Air Max 95 designer Sergio Lozano based the silhouette of the AM95 on the human body! The lacing system, for example, was inspired by the human ribcage and the outsole was modelled on the spine. The mesh and suede upper of the OG is designed to resemble human muscle fibres. The 'Anatomy of Air' Pack now also picks up on this in terms of colour.
The Nike Air max 95 'Flesh' has an upper that resembles a combination of muscles and tendons. The higher up on the shoe, the closer to the skin. The white on the upper represents connective tissue. The overlays get progressively one shade redder and darker, making it look like it's a deeper layer under the skin.
A special detail is the "Anatomy of Air" stitching behind the tongue. The pair also includes tendon-coloured details on the eyestays, heel and collar. The sail-coloured sole with the 'Flesh' graphic on the outsole brings the shoe all together.
The Nike Air Max 95 'Light Bone' combines different shades of grey on the suede upper. The high overlays are a light shade of grey, then the overlays get a shade darker with each layer down. Bone-coloured ones can also be found on the white midsole. As a finishing touch, another bone graphic can be seen on the off-white outsole.
