New Balance's well-known ABZORB cushioning technology gets a fresh update with the introduction of two new models: the ABZORB 2000 and ABZORB 2010. Both silhouettes bridge the gap between innovative, contemporary technologies and the aesthetics of the early 2000s.
The ABZORB technology was introduced in 1993 and quickly became an essential feature of many New Balance sneakers, from the New Balance 993 to the 740.
Now, the recently teased ABZORB 2000 and ABZORB 2010 join that lineup. The sneakers receive a modern update, bringing together comfort, innovation, and design.
New Balance ABZORB 2000
The ABZORB 2000 silhouette first appeared during last year's Milan Design Week. The sneaker features a sleek and minimalist look with modern accents. The 2000 has been developed using 3D technology. Dynamic overlays give the sneaker its distinctive appearance, along with the ABZORB SBS gel pads in the sole.

Charlotte Lee, Design Manager at New Balance, on the design: "The challenge when designing the ABZORB 2000 was to strike a balance between tradition and innovation. We wanted to keep the recognizable elements, such as the ABZORB SBS cushioning, but repackage them in a refreshed way."
The ABZORB 2000 comes with reflective details and the N logo on the mid-panel. The sneaker will be released on June 12, 2025, at New Balance.
New Balance ABZORB 2010
The other silhouette set to debut soon is the ABZORB 2010. This model features a chunky silhouette and is crafted from premium materials such as suede and mesh. As the name suggests, this model also incorporates the ABZORB cushioning technology.

The upper features a sleek diamond pattern, combined with nubuck leather overlays, giving the sneaker a luxurious look. The ABZORB midsole with ABZORB SBS cushioning in the heel and forefoot ensures ultimate comfort. The TPU stabiliser in the midfoot provides additional support.
The New Balance ABZORB 2010 will be released on May 7, 2025, at New Balance.
