The New Balance 1000 model made its comeback in early 2024. The campaign featured none other than rapper Dave, current brand ambassador at New Balance. Since the silhouette's reintroduction, Joe Freshgoods came out with his own colorways of the sneaker.
Now we see the next colorways of the model set to release in 2024, including an Aime Leon Dore collab.
New Balance 1000
The New Balance 1000 was introduced in 1999. The sporty and chunky silhouette disappeared from the shelves for an extended period of time, until early 2024. New Balance brought the model back for its 25th anniversary in the 'When Things Were Pure,' pack, in collaboration with Joe Freshgoods. This was shortly followed by the 'Silver Metallic' and 'Angora Moonrock' colorways.
Now we see five subsequent colorways of the model appearing. Clothing label Aimé Leon Dore previously unveiled a light gray New Balance 1000 colorway. Last week, two other colorways of the silhouette appeared; one white and one black.
The monotone colorways have a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Aimé Leon Dore's collections are easily recognizable for their timeless designs, so too with the New Balance 1000. The silhouette features a base of mesh, leather overlays, and TPU details. The toe cap features the Aimé Leon Dore logo.
We also see two other colorways that most likely belong to New Balance's own collection. The two colorways use reflective details that fit all too well with the sporty, eye-catching silhouette.
One colorway uses a striking color palette consisting of purple, orange and green details. The second colorway features an all-grey upper with reflective details.
Release
The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1000 in 'White', 'Black', and 'Grey colorways are expected to drop at various retailers on June 20, 2024. When the other New Balance 1000 colorways will be released, is still unknown. Keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers release calendar for more updates regarding this silhouette.
