Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela expand their collaboration, unveiling the XT-MARY J silhouette. The sneaker bridges the gap between the XT-4 silhouette and the classic Mary Jane ballerinas with a strap on the instep. The collab drops on October 17, 2024, at Salomon and select retailers.
Following the success of the Salomon x MM6 Maison Margiela x Cross Hike 'Fiery Red,' the sneaker in which Rihanna appeared during her 2023 Super Bowl performance, the two labels have already released several sneakers. Recently, we saw the XT-4 MULE, a variant of the Salomon XT-4.
This same silhouette is used in the next collab and receives a Mary Jane makeover here. This shoe is characterized by a closed toecap and a strap across the instep. The XT-6 MARY J stays close to the design of the Salomon XT-6, however, the silhouette comes with an open upper.
A strap with MM6 Maison Margiela's branding has now been placed where the lace panel normally sits. The sneaker will appear in two colorways: 'Black' and 'Multicolor'. All two colorways will drop on October 17, 2024, at select retailers.
