Nike is going full steam ahead with the Shox in the summer of 2022. In June, Supreme already made its mark with the Shox Ride 2. Now in July, it's up to fashion designer Martine Rose to release her own Shox MR4 Mule. The pair will be available July 7 via the Martine Rose website.
The Martine Rose x Nike Shox Mule MR4 looks like the Shox R4, but modified to look like a mule. The inspiration came from football players. Rose noticed that men always arrive at the match dressed flamboyantly, while women always travel in a standard club tracksuit. With this sneaker, women can arrive at the game both sporty and stylish.
In the UK, the Shox is intertwined with various sub-cultures. Martine Rose is known for her designs being inspired by different cultures such as rave, hip-hop and punk. The Shox Mule MR4 came out after playing with the proportions of the Shox R4, a combination of a sneaker and a mule.
The sneaker will be released in four colorways. The first has a black upper with red Shox technology. Then there is a full white and a full pink sneaker. Finally, there is the grey Shox Mule MR4 with a silver sole.
Martine Rose x Nike Shox Mule MR4 will be available from the Martine Rose website on July 7. The release at Nike will take place at July 14. Check the buttons for all release infos.
