Hey sneakerheads! One model that is becoming more and more popular among my circle of friends is the Karhu Fusion 2.0. However, many of them don't really know much about the Finnish brand or don't have the budget at the moment (students, you know). Well, I'm here to help!

Back in history
Karhu is one of those brands that many know, but still know little about. Are you aware that Karhu has been in business for over 100 years? The brand was founded in Helsinki in 1916 under the name 'Ab Sportartiklar'. From the beginning, the first products from the Finns included all kinds of sporting goods, but also shoes. The sneakers Karhu produced back then were made as running shoes, including track spikes to improve performance on the tracks.
In 1920, the brand changed its name to Karhu, the Finnish word for 'bear'. In the same year, the record-breaking marathon runners, the 'Flying Finns' conquered the world, and some Olympic medals at the 2020 Olympic Games in Antwerp. Karhu was only four years old at the time, but was already managing to offer award-winning footwear. It's safe to say that this gave Karhu a great entry into the market. Logically, the brand was selected as Finland's official supplier for all Olympic Games at the next Olympics.
Shoes have been part of Karhu's line-up from the beginning, but these international victories for the brand ensured that they became the focus of the brand's marketing and production strategies. Intense research began to create shoes with the best designs.
That was in the 1920s. So it's safe to say that now, 100 years later, Karhu knows what they're doing when it comes to offering the best shoes on the market. But the very smart shoes are not only perfect for walking, they are also really nice to look at.
Celebrities have also picked up on the hype surrounding the Karhu shoe, especially the Karhu Fusion 2.0. Take Kanye West and Shia LaBeouf, for example.
