Converse introduces the Run Star Trainer

Converse expands its collection with the Run Star Trainer, a sneaker that draws inspiration from as many as 20 designs from the Converse archives. The sneaker effortlessly combines sports with lifestyle. The Run Star Trainer will be released on June 18, 2024.

The Converse Run Star Trainer may be a new model, but the technologies used are years old. The sneaker is inspired by Converse's history in sports, but designed for modern life. The result: a fresh sneaker with a retro touch.

As mentioned above, the Run Star Trainer takes inspiration from 20 archival designs designed for sports such as running, tennis, volleyball, and fencing. The familiar gum sole hints at Converse's running shoes, think the One Star.

The tread pattern is derived from the Chuck Taylor All-Star and continues across the heel. The star logo takes inspiration from a more recent silhouette from Converse, the Run Star Hike (2019). The upper is composed of materials such as nylon, suede, and leather.

The Converse Run Star Trainer will appear in five different colorways. Check out the official images from the campaign below, and keep an eye on the Sneakerjagers news page for more articles like this one. The sneaker drops on June 18, 2024, at Converse and select retailers.
