BAPE and Vans are joining forces once again. The duo first collaborated in 2021 and continued this success in 2022 with a second collaboration. For summer 2024, Vans and BAPE are collaborating on an Old Skool and Sk8-Mid with an accompanying apparel collection.
The collection uses BAPE's iconic ABC motif. The camo print uses green, pink, and blue, resulting in a colorful design. The collaboration uses two sneakers: the Old Skool and Sk8-Mid, two classic silhouettes from Vans.
Both sneakers have an asymmetrical color scheme. The Vans Old Skool uses a green camo print on the left side of the sneaker and pink on the right side. The color green appears on the uppers of both sneakers. On the center panel, the classic Vans side stripe appears.
BAPE logos appear on the tongue and heel. The sole uses the shark tooth motif that also appears on the BAPE hoodies.
The other sneaker in the pack, the Sk8-Mid, uses the green camo print all over the design. The sneaker has a high collar. The upper uses the materials suede and canvas. Both the Old Skool and the Sk8-Mid come with “OFF THE WALL” and “A BATHING APE” references on the toe cap.
In addition to the two sneakers, BAPE and Vans are also coming out with an accompanying apparel collection. The BAPE x Vans 2024 collection will be released on July 27, 2024, at BAPE, Vans, and at select Vans retailers. Check out both pairs and lookbook photos below.
