Last week, Ronnie Fieg shared images of an upcoming KITH x New Balance RC_1300 via Instagram. Now, new images of two more colorways have surfaced. The first rumours surfaced in mid-February 2021 and with the teases shared by Ronnie Fieg, the release doesn't seem too far away.
KITH and New Balance have a rich history together. In 2011, Ronnie Fieg opened his first KITH store in Manhattan. This was celebrated with a New Balance collab using the 574 silhouette. In total, a red colorway and a green colorway were released.
Since then, an incredible amount of colorways have been released on a whole bunch of different New Balance silhouettes. The most popular KITH x New Balance collaborations are mainly 99x models. Think for example of the 990, 993 or 997 colorways. In November 2018, KITH released no less than a pack of six colorways that were also processed in a delicious way. Three 997 silhouettes were used for the pack.
About KITH
KITH was, as we said, founded in 2011 by none other than Ronnie Fieg. He was born and raised in the borough of Queens, New York. Ronnie Fieg is a big name in the trainer world with over 20 years of experience. With his brand KITH, he is active in two areas: a multifunctional lifestyle brand for men, women and children. He also has several shops in different countries.
To make the shopping experience as special as possible for the customers, they have designed the shops in an interesting look in cooperation with Snarkitecture. These shops offer a variety of products. Think of premium products of KITH itself, but also for example clothing Fear of God, Daily Paper and Heron Preston.
Having been a pretty big name in the fashion world for the past ten years, KITH has also had quite a few successful collaborations to its name. Over the years, the label has done collabs with Coca Cola, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace and many more brands.
KITH x New Balance RC_1300 | Closer Look
On the new images that have come out, it is easy to see that three delicious colorways are on their way on the rather young RC_1300 silhouette. First released in 1985, the 1300 was a legendary running shoe thanks to its light weight, high quality material and a wonderfully comfortable Abzorbz midsole. The RC_1300 is a little different than the variant that appeared in 1985 and we will take a closer look at this KITH x New Balance collab.
The trainer is made up of a mesh base with overlays of suede material on top. The colorways incorporated on the model are 'Grey', 'Mauve' and 'Tan'. The grey version surfaced a bit earlier, while we have now also seen images of the other two. There are also some signature KITH details on the trainer. The 'N' logo on the sides features a KITH print, while the forefoot features a Pegasus. To complete the silhouette, the upper is attached to an ENCAP sole.
