Known for its versatile style, comfortable fit, and wide variety of colorways, the Nike Air Force 1 is one of the most iconic models in the sneaker world. It was introduced as a high-top model in 1982. The AF1 Low was introduced a year later. Many celebrities and sneakerheads love this basketball-inspired lifestyle sneaker.
The Nike Air Force 1 is the result of Bruce Kilgore's efforts to incorporate Nike's Air technology into a basketball shoe. In this technology, pressurised air in a pocket contributes to the elasticity, durability, and flexibility of the sole.
This high-top sneaker was designed for intense action and featured a circular sole for better grip on the court. The high-top version was worn on the court by six top NBA players just a year after its launch.
