Axel Arigato

Axel Arigato's high-end designs are impossible to imagine today's streetscape without.

The brand was founded in 2014 by Albin Johannson and Max Svärdh in Sweden.

With models like the Area, Dice and Sphere, Axel Arigato bridges the gap between the luxury market and the sneaker scene.

Axel Arigato's retro-inspired shoes are made in a fair way, with each sneaker designed with sustainability in mind.

The brand works with a small number of suppliers in Europe. All materials are carefully chosen. The leather used comes from tanneries, each certified by the Leather Working Group.

In addition, cotton and polyester are also incorporated into the designs in a fair and sustainable way.

The brand works according to its own roadmap and wants to work even more sustainably in the future than it currently already does.

The History of Axel Arigato

In 2014, the Swedish duo consisting of Albin Johannson and Max Svärdh came up with the idea for a new sneaker brand. The two noticed that there was not a brand they could identify with and wanted to change this.

Johannson and Svärdh started talking to consumers and sneaker enthusiasts and found out what the community wanted in a sneaker design.

After the initial launch, things went fast. Axel Arigato started as an online website, but soon gained branches throughout Europe.

With stores in cities like Paris, London and Stockholm, Johannson and Svärdh hope to conquer the U.S. market with their timeless designs in the coming years as well.
